The End Times II

Tomb Kings
Nagash consumed one god of Nehekhara (specifically Usirian, the god of the underworld) as a pre-Chaos snack, becoming not only an embodiement of Shyish the Amethyst Wind but also the force through which all Tomb Kings reincarnate. The Priesthood now have no choice but to join him.
Settra the Imperishable lead the Tomb Kings against the newly resurrected Nagash. Nagash won, held Settra in his hand and offered him position as a Mortarch. Settra replied "SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE! SETTRA RULES!" so Nagash blew apart his body and chucked the head into the desert to watch as Nagash destroyed his cities. The rest of the Tomb Kings returning back to warring over pocket change either joined Nagash or died. Days after Nagash left him in the desert he still wanted his revenge and without any warning his body was fully restored. He then heard four voices laughing in his head who told him the battle was only over if he wanted it to be. Whether he's Chaos Settra now, or just gets to have round 2 against Naggy is up to the player to decide.
Arkhan the Black remained loyal to Nagash as ever, and helped Mannfred resurrect him. He was made Mortarch of Sacrament for his trouble. He curbstomped Kemmler, but then for the first time in his life had second thoughts about serving Nagash. Afterall, how in a world of clattering bones and minion hissyfits will he ever get a god night’s sleep?
Prince Apophas, who's soul now belongs to Nagash due to Naggy eating the Nehekharan gods Usirian, who Apophas made his original deal with in the first place, and he has been perma-killed for his cheap back-stabbing shit enslaved by Nagash after getting knocked out. The fact that he shows up in the undead legions army list shows that he most likely survived.
Queen Khalida, being reasonably bro for an undead lady, thought about resisting, but realized what a stupid idea that would be. She joined to take her revenge on Nefereta since it was the only way she can take her revenge now.
King Phar decided to stand up to Nagash with full knowledge that he would get his ass kicked. He'd rather go out like a boss then be another one of Nagash bitch boys. Predictably, he was crushed but went out swinging.

Vampire Counts
Mannfred von Carstein "reveals" himself as a servant of Nagash. He is made the Mortarch of Shadow. He originally planned on betraying Nagash and consuming him for personal power, but is now terrified of him.
With the sacrifice of Aliathra, the vampirified Fey Enchantress, and Volkmar Nagash returns to the world, further empowered with energies stolen from minor gods and ancient relics from all over the world. He expected to become a demigod by becoming the Everking from Aliathra, but as she is Tyrion's daughter rather than Finubar's he inherited the Curse of Aenarion as well. He then levitated his Black Pyramid, making it a MASSIVE mobile base (it's one of the largest structures in the entire Warhammer Worked, second in known canon only to the Tower of Hoeth).
Control of the afterlife has been usurped from Morr. Dead souls from mortals now reside in Sylvania in a Greek underworld shade kind of way. Good news is everyone is still safe from Chaos, bad news is that now you're stuck hanging out with everyone you hate and fought against in life as a peasant of Nagash's new empire for all eternity. Whether Ereth Khial still has dibs on souls is unknown.
Nagash consumed the Nehekharan God of Death, making himself a permanent part of the Death Wind and thus a Chaos entity who is growing in power. The Chaos Gods have become fearful of him now, realizing they're playing with an equal now. Determined to purge himself of the Curse of Aenarion, Nagash retreated back into his sky pyramid and began to research.
Nagash gifted Dread Abyssals, formerly a pack of ghost skeleton dragon-things which guarded the afterlife like Cerebus, to his Mortarchs, and gave them command over the former afterlife peacekeepers, the Morghasts.
Nagash resurrected Vlad von Carstein from the dead and made him the Mortarch of Shadow. Mannfred was butthurt over this, especially when Nagash dubbed Vlad "The Greatest Vampire". Vlad isn't too happy either, but Isabella didn't come back with Vlad, and since his sole motivation in life other than becoming Emprah is acting like a teenage couple with Issy, the promise of Nagash to return her to life secured Vlad's total loyalty (unless he feels Naggy has it on the bottom of the To Do list anyway). Vlad immediately set out being Nagash's Cult Attendant by converting key minions from human kingdoms, and beating the shit out of anything bearing Chaos icon like a giant army-sized game of wack-a-mole.
Arkhan and Kemmler duel by shooting raw magic at each other while talking shit like it's a rap battle. Arkhan says Kemmler's four Waifus are shit. Kemmler says Arkhan's husbando is shit. Arkhan says Kemmler is more Failbaddon than wizard Archaon. Kemmler says "NO U" and loses the magic battle, causing him to explode. Arkhan also develops feelings for Neferata, coming to resent fleshless unlife and Nagash as a result.
Krell was revealed to never have been under Kemmler's control; it's unclear if he still had a glimmer of sapience and was a companion to Kemmler, is just a puppet robot only possessing the knowledge of swinging his axe and ambling towards things his Necromantic programming says is a for, or was a servant of Nagash all along. Either way, Chaos has forsaken him fully while the Undead were recruiting, and as a result he was named the Mortrach of Despair.
Queen Neferata debated on her course of action. Join her old master and husbando Nagash and become Mortarch of Blood, but have to share power with those other assholes? Or stuff over Nagash and pretend she's Genevieve by siding with the forces of Good Order but be stuck back at her lousy dead-end job as queen of the Vampire Bards? She wound up joining Nagash, likely as afraid of him as Mannfred while still playing her own games like Vlad is. Either way, she delivered an ancient magical artifact for Nagash (TA HAAAAAVE) and is paying lip service while she mulls it over.
Zacharias the Everliving is ironically now dead.
Abhorash, although not a Mortarch, sends some of his Blood Dragons to assist Vlad in saving the Empire slapping Archaon's shit to be declared da best. Unknown to him however, many of the Blood Dragons had started worshipping Khorne and turned on the other vampires due to the fact that if Nagash rules everything, there's nobody left to fight and drink blood from. Their leader Walach beats Karl Franz and Vlad, but gets killed because he's too busy monologuing to realize Vlad was taking control of his skeleton dragon (who then rips Walach in half). There's no word on what Abhorash or the rest of his bloodline is doing now though.
Noctilus from Dreadfleet has been resurrected and offered Mortarchship (no pun intended). He and Vlad head north to fight Chaos, but since they were fighting on the mainland and Noctilus is vampire Aquaman, he threw a hissy fit and went off back to the sea. No word on if Nagash is disappoint or shrugs it off since pirates are cool.
Drachenfels has returned to canon as a Mortarch, as he has lost his memories and has been offered to have them returned to him if he fights for Nagash (so he's still basically evil Tom Bombadil). He's only referred to vaguely though, as the "Great Enchanter From The Gray Mountains" or "The Nameless". He joined Mannfred and Vlad in their constant battle against the Warriors of Chaos (if anyone can come up with tortures Slaaneshi can't enjoy, it's him).
Warriors of Chaos
Archaon is on the warpath again. He seeks to end all life everywhere as a " you" to the Chaos Gods, and Bel'akor can't stop him. But the von Carsteins allied with the Empire have his men stalled just in the Empire's borders with neither side making meaningful gains against the other. Archaon has not actually gone with his troops, waiting instead with his HUGE army of Daemons.
Vardek Crom the Conqueror is dead. Any future sightings may be as Krell 2.0.
Helbrass ed Kislev, rather than wait for Archaon's orders to march.
The Glottkin are 3 brothers who are fat Nurgle s (with one being so ing massive that the other two get to ride on his back) who become Archie's new Vanguard into the Empire. They led a host of chosen warriors to make some headway into the Empire by leveling the city of Altdorf (with a few detachments breaking off to destroy two other cities, because Nurgle is all about the number three). The chosen Warriors of Nurgle are led by Bloab Rotspawned, a man who is infested with daemonic maggots that gestate within him and fly out to spread disease, Orghotts Daemonspew, who is the son of a Witch and a Great Unclean One (ew, ew, ewwwee..), and Morbidex Twiceborn who was born into a fire straight out of his mother with his infected and pus-oozing burns gradually transforming him into the living avatar of Nurgle as he reached adulthood. All three ride giant Pox Maggoths, immensely powerful giant carrion beasts which were suckled on the drippings of Nurgle himself. Khornate Blood Dragons accompany them, as well as Festus the Leechlord and Ku'Gath the Plaguefather. All six new Nurgle champions are slain, most burned to a crisp by the God Emperor Karl Franz with all of the rest killed by Bretonnians or vampires. The soul of Festus was returned directly to Nurgle, the rest are perma-dead.

Wood Elves
Practicing the time-honored tradition of "Hide in forest, let Brets deal with it, laugh about how everyone is stupid except us 'cause we got the high ground".
The Tree of Ages is dying and Ariel with it. This does not make Orion happy. Fortunately for them, Alarielle has decided to help.
Araloth gathered a huge army, then was teleported out of existence by Lileath herself for reasons unknown, said to have never been seen again.
Armyless Factions
Kislev has mostly been destroyed by Archaon (since apparently that's how all events start) and only one city remains. Refugees have flooded the Empire. No word on the Tzarina's fate, though it is believed that she is leading what is left of her forces in a final last stand alongside the Vampires to buy the Empire some time.
Tilea has been destroyed by Skaven, refugees are flooding the Empire.
Gotrek & Felix are at an end. The next arc (featuring Be'lakor) finishes the series, and needless to say it's likely the suicidal Squat won't make it.
Estalia shares the same fate as Tilea and is in even worse shape as the Skaven conquer the entire country.
Half of the Border Princes lands are overrun by Skaven, though some princes join Mannfred and become vampires to save their kingdoms
Cathay is also being invaded by chaos and probably by the hobgoblins too. Nothing is said about the fate of the country, though it’s probably in a similar situation as the Empire. Nippon isn't mentioned, but it can be assumed that they are getting their shit wrecked.
The Kingdoms of Ind aren't mentioned either, but it can be assumed that they are being overrun by beastmen, daemons or Skaven (or all 3).
After Estalia and Tilea fall, Araby is next on the Skavens list. They are currently doing better than their white neighbors and actually holding out, but just barely.
Halflings in The Moot continue to be useless foodies.

The Material
So far, four books for the End Times have been published, the first two under the title of "Warhammer: Nagash" (or at least "Warhammer: The End Times: Nagash") and the third (because Nurgle is about three, remember?) and fourth called "Warhammer: Glottkin".
Nagash Book 1
This is a purely fluff book, covering a cocktail of artworks, metacampaign details, and descriptions of various battles and the forces involved.
Nagash Book 2
This is the first End Times book with actual crunch in it. It contains:
Darkest Depths battlefield rules (for fighting underground in the Warhammer world).
Haunted Battlegrounds (a selection of new special rules and modified terrain features - specifically the Haunted Forests and Haunted Gardens of Morr).
The Lore of Undeath (a new lore of magic, representing necromancy, that can be used by any spellcaster in the game).
Rules for using a new Vampire Counts/Tomb Kings combined force, known as Undead Legion.
Rules (or updated rules) for five of the Mortarchs of Nagash:
Mannfred von Carstein, Mortarch of Night
Arkhan the Black, Mortarch of Sacrament
        Queen Neferata, Mortarch of Blood
        Krell, Mortarch of Despair
Vlad von Carstein, Mortarch of Shadow
Rules for the new Morghast models, which come in Archai and Harbinger flavors.
8th Edition rules for Valten and Vardek Crom.

Glotkin Book 1
More fluff, covering tons of art, meta details, and battles involving the trio of Nurgle.

Glotkin Book 2
The second End Times book about crunch.
